Hello my name is Charlene! I am 35 years old and I was finally diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis almost a decade ago after fighting for 7 years. I was called a liar for so long that I actually started to believe that it was all in my head. I'll go more into my history with PsA later but for now I just want you to know that if you are searching for answers or if you have been given this diagnosis you are at a starting point. I remember getting a diagnosis and feeling both immense relief to finally know what was wrong with me while simultaneously terrified and so angry that my life was going to change forever...

What I can tell you is that my life has changed. But I can now find so much gratitude for what this diagnosis has given me. It has given me the curiosity to find foods that make my body FEEL good. The grace to accept my body where it is at and find movement that serves me an MY body. I found gratitude for my life and for this body no matter what it feels like.

It took a long time for me to get to where I am at today mentally. So please know that it is ALWAYS ok to feel your feelings. Feel sad and grieve the life you once had. Be angry that your body won't allow you to do what you really want it to. Show up in any way you need to. This website has lots of different resources and information. I talk all about the foods that I eat, supplements and medication I take and much more!
